White-Wolf Black-Wolf: An ancient Cherokee tale

An elder shared this story with me once as a young boy (both Cherokees no doubt), but he was never able finish it with me. Unfortunately he passed on before doing so, but the pieces that he did leave with me dwelt deep within my heart through this ancient parable. Growing up as a young boy amidst vast varieties of adversity, this white wolf was often on my heart and at the back of my mind’s forefront, but what I had not realized until this wonderful re-discovery was that it had only been “half told” to me…

By coincidence, I stumbled upon this very story moments ago after a quick google search of “White Wolf Native American”. I wasn’t fully conscious of why, exactly, but I had just spent a moment looking within prior to the search and saw a great white wolf with bold eyes staring right back at me with deep trust and reverence. Unsure of the full meaning, I went to the search engine and the rest is synchronistic history. Here is the story that follows my experiences as a Cherokee from boyhood to manhood; an amazing tale for any person walking along the Path, the Tao & The Way:

“There is an old Cherokee story, that of the white and black wolf, that has become popular in the white world, but is only half told.

In it, the grandfather is talking to his grandson about how inside of each of us lives a white wolf and a black wolf. The white wolf is all that is good about us, and the black wolf is all that is bad. The white wolf thrives on justice and peace and the black wolf thrives on anger, fear and hatred.

What the white world has adopted of this tale is this:

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

In the white world, the story ends like this:

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

In the Cherokee world, the story ends this way:

The old Cherokee simply replied, “They both win.”

and the story goes on,

“You see, if I only choose to feed the white wolf, the black one will be hiding around every corner waiting for me to become distracted or weak and jump to get the attention he craves. He will always be angry and always fighting the white wolf.

But if I acknowledge him, he is happy and the white wolf is happy and we all win. For the black wolf has many qualities – tenacity, courage, fearlessness, strong-willed and great strategic thinking – that I have need of at times and that the white wolf lacks. But the white wolf has compassion, caring, strength and the ability to recognize what is in the best interest of all. You see son, the white wolf needs the black wolf at his side. To feed only one would starve the other and they will become uncontrollable. To feed and care for both means they will serve you well and do nothing that is not a part of something greater, something good, something of life. Feed them both and there will be no more internal struggle for your attention. And when there is no battle inside, you can listen to the voices of deeper knowing that will guide you in choosing what is right in every circumstance.

Peace, my son, is the Cherokee mission in life. A man who has peace inside has everything. A man who is pulled apart by the war inside him has nothing. How you choose to interact with the opposing forces within you will determine your life. Starve one or the other or guide them both.””

Journal: A Bird’s-Eye Overview of June

june-banner-2

This month, June, I’ve encountered a series of extremely conspicuous
synchronicites found in what you could call symbols or omens. Before listing them
and learning what they represent, let me share a brief and un-biased point of view of what my month has consisted of in terms of themes and focus, and then I will share the symbols that have shown up and what their interpreted meanings are after the month is over. I’d like to
hear if these are things others may be relating to as well, and
that perhaps I’m noticing a global set of themes and
archetypal symbology for us all.
So…! June:

June for me has primarily been an epic season of change
. For the last 3 months I have been residing in Southern California to assist a group of people with some help on various things I’ve acquired lots of knowledge and experience in throughout the years. This had been the case the whole time I had been here until the month of June came. Days before it did so, I notified the leaders of this organization which I had been volunteering my time and expertise towards, and informed them that I would be taking a time off. I wasn’t certain why, but I had an extremely strong and assured suspicion that I would be resting for a time, roughly a month’s worth, and then starting my “work” back up again.

Well, as the month went on and into what evolved to be what one could call an “Extended Sabbath”, I began to get divine/intuitive feelings and unctions that my time in this place would be changing quite soon, along with the labor I’ve been offering, and doing so quite drastically. My studies have deepened well beyond my wildest dreams into the themes of Divine Union & Integration with the Divine Feminine (AKA the Holy Spirit, Divine Mother, Jehovah Shammah or Asherah) as well as all the few remaining aspects of the unintegrated self. It was in the midst of these new depths that I began sensing a relocation of my physical self, and possibly a new season for deeper study… Maybe even an awakening of sorts.

Is it my stars aligning, or simply this gorgeous night-sky of 2016’s? Who knows… Stay tuned for my first entry of this passing month’s “Signs, Symbols & Synchronicity” and maybe we’ll find out it’s for all of us! IDK, you can be the judge. 🙂

The Nature of Multi-Dimensionality: From Indigo to 13

Here is an excellent write-up focused on the progression of
dimensional consciousness and what that entails for most of us, with an emphasis on
“The Indigo”.  It features truth, relevance, explanation on newer spiritual lingo, and is very well explained to the point that the knowledge is relatable and applicable for any
individual. Emphasis of article follows the purple caption. For full
synopsis see link at the bottom…
Enjoy!

The Nature of Multi-Dimensionality:

Until fairly recently, all humans born on Earth were born as Third Dimensional beings. This means that they were fully in the material plane or realm, and their consciousness was “locked” into the Third Dimension. They functioned on the first three chakras, the material, the emotional and the mental. Where there was spirituality, it was usually seen as something outside or other than normal every day functioning.

Petri_Fischzug_Raffael.jpgThe Third Dimensional being is aware of him or herself as a separate and unique individual. There is no real sense of the unity or oneness of consciousness that is a factor of higher dimensional consciousness. Because of this sense of separation, humans have built a society that has very little awareness of the interconnectedness of beings and actions. And because of this lack of awareness, humans have created a planet of sorrow and suffering, where individuals see no need to be responsible for their thoughts, feelings and actions. Fear of not surviving on the individual level, because of lack of resources, has led to greed and imbalances that need to be addressed in order to create a stable planetary home for all humans.

The Indigo children arrived with the key to multi-dimensionality. They were born into Third Dimensional bodies, but their consciousness was effectively in the Fourth Dimension and capable of moving into the Fifth. When this “wave” of Indigo consciousness arrived on the planet in the early 1970s, the way was opened for all humans and the planet itself to shift into the Fourth Dimension.

At the Fourth Dimensional level of Consciousness, humans become aware of the Universal Law of One, otherwise known as “Unity Consciousness”. This Law states that we are all One, we are all connected and that whatever affects one of us affects all of us. Indigo children carry this awareness in their consciousness, and it leads them to be warriors for many causes that will heal the Earth and stop humans from destroying and polluting their environment and harming other humans.

The Law of One also fosters the understanding in Indigo beings that we are all equal, and that no one is greater than any other. This group consciousness and group awareness is the path to the future for humans. We will learn to function co-operatively and for the anima-animus-carl-junggood of all if we are to create the New Earth that we desire.

Indigos respect the talents and abilities of each individual, but these talents do not make any one greater than anyone else. The play of ego and self-importance has no real place in the life of an Indigo.

When an Indigo awareness opens into the Fifth Dimension, it becomes aware of itself as a Creator. Fifth Dimensional awareness loves to create. All the religious belief systems and the economic systems on Earth today are Fifth Dimensional Thought Form creations that we hold in place by our continued support of these thought forms. They form a Fifth Dimensional grid around the Earth. Most lower- dimensional beings are completely unaware [unconscious] that their thoughts and behavior patterns are being controlled from this level.

When the Indigo awareness opens to this level, there is often a rejection of all belief systems and a consciousness of the freedom to create new and alternative ways of thinking and being. The Indigo person takes on the planetary mission of creating and bringing in new ways of thinking and being for Planet Earth. But, at this level the consciousness is still concerned with dualities of “good” and “bad”, that determine what kind of system is best for Earth. The next step in consciousness is to move beyond duality and into a realm where all is seen as part of the greater good and for the good of the
greater whole.”

From Indigo to 13:

“When an adult Indigo consciousness makes the shift into the Crystal state or awareness, they enter into Sixth Dimensional awareness and the Christ Consciousness seed. They are rebirthed, in consciousness, as a Christed or Magical child. With this comes an awareness of the playfulness of life, and the play of Spirit through human beings on this planet. Then all life is seen as magical and blessed, and all life is directed and advanced through the work of spirit. At this point, the being understands the principle of surrender to the flow of the greater evolutionary wave, while still exercising the right to be a creator on the individual level.

The Crystal consciousness, when it has matured enough at this level, can then move into the Seventh Dimensional level, where awareness opens onto the nature of the spiritual mission of the being. A Crystal or Christed adult at this level is ready to take on a planetary mission as a carrier of higher dimensional consciousness to others. The work may involve teaching and healing on a grand scale, or it may simply be to carry the energy in the auric field so that others may access the higher vibrations in their own upwards Ascension Path.

The Crystal child and adult now carry the potential to open fully to the Ninth level or Full Christ Consciousness. This incorporates the Eighth level, or Archetypal level, where the being has full control over the “story” of their life on earth, and the Ninth level, where the being assumes full responsibility for stewardship of the Planet.

The potential then exists for the being to continue on the journey to the Tenth level, where the being accesses his or her Solar System responsibilities; the Eleventh level, where the Galactic level of consciousness is accessed and finally the Twelfth level, where the Gold Ray of Universal Consciousness inaugurates the being as a Full Universal Being. The Thirteenth level represents the Master, who enters into the Divine Mystery as a fully conscious spark of the Divine Creative Essence.”
